Kind Bus Driver Goes Extra Mile To Help A Blind Man Cross The Road

Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver, Thaddaus Turner was kind enough to help one of his passengers to cross the busy street. After finding out his passenger Gene Hubbard was blind and the route was barricaded, the 28-year-old public bus driver took a detour to help him.

69-year-old Gene Hubbard used to take the same route to and from work nearly every day for the last 20 years. But the route was under construction and it was difficult for the blind man to get around. Understanding the difficulty of this elderly man, Turner stopped his bus at the drop point and walked with Hubbard across the road!

“The route was barricaded, it was rough for me as a driver, I can only imagine how rough it was for him,” Turner said!

A bystander took a photo of Turner helping the blind passenger and sent it to the transit agency to appreciate his act of kindness!

Verse of the Day

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. — Psalm 8:3-5 (NIV)
