Firefighter Paddles Across Frozen River And Rescues Dog That Fell Through Ice

A firefighter was just in time to rescue that drowning dog from Charles River. Niko the dog and his owner were playing a game to fetch the ball on the Charles River near the Eliot Bridge. After the owner threw Nikos ball, accidentally the ice under the dog’s feet cracked and the dog fell through the ice!

The firefighters Sean Williams and his team rushed to the scene to save the dog soon after they received the call via 911. Sean used a yellow rescue board to reach out to Niko whose head was seen bobbing in the chilled water. Then the other fire fighters used a rope attached to the board to pull the pair back to safety!

Niko was fortunate to have this brave humans to save him and his owner took him to the veterinarian for a checkup and Niko is healthy to live many more good days ahead!
