Firefighters Finishes Yard Work For Family After Responding To Husband’s Heart Attack

A group of fire fighters from Florida went beyond their call of duty by finishing the lawn work for a family, after saving a man who was having a heart attack. Gene Work of Pasco County was laying sod in their front yard when he started getting the symptoms of a heart attack. He was in and out of consciousness. But Gene was concerned about the sod and told his wife, Melissa Work about it..

“While he was having his heart attack, literally in and out of consciousness, he kept begging me to figure out the sod and have it put down because he didn’t want it to go to waste and die,” Melissa said.”I calmed him and kept saying “Jesus will help us. It’s ok. Jesus will figure this out babe.”

After dropping the man and his wife to the hospital, the Pasco firefighters came back to help the family because they knew Gene was in serious trouble and wanted to make sure the sod didn’t die. The team of 7 firefighters and EMT’s worked together to remove the old grass and installed the new sods for the family!

They wished a speedy recovery for Gene through their Facebook post and people across the country are praising this heroes for their incredible act of kindness.
