Postal Worker Notices Elderly Woman’s Letters Piling Up And Saves Her Life

“..let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Math 5:16)

Another illustration and evidence of the fruit of Grace unfolded in the fellow neighbor! Sweeney, a U.S. Postal Service worker saved 87-year-old Marie Boyer’s life two months ago, as she lay helpless in her home for four days, she was dehydrated, and in and out of consciousness — unable to get up after a fall. Sweeney has been delivering mail on the route for thirteen years and know her customers habits so well, she immediately noticed when Boyer’s garbage and mail were piling up and she knew something was wrong and knowing her customer is inside she arranged to call “Help line 911”. Finally The FDNY and NYPD broke into the home and pulled the woman to safety and gave the good news to Sweeney saying “She is alive”

An instant connection and lasting friendship made Sweeney and Marie an unexpected pair of best friends, with a bond that runs deeper than most.. “To thank her for being in my life,” Boyer said. The two get together twice a week where Boyer now lives and celebrated Boyer’s 87th birthday together a few days ago at the Applebee’s across the street and will also be spending thanksgiving with Sweeney and her family.

“Thus, like the lamp on its stand, this amazing love light is shining brighter and brighter!”

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works”..(Eph 2:10)
