“Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life”(Prov 4:23)
A traditional hymn sung in barbershop choir style “It Is Well With My Soul” is a blessing. The beautiful song is written by Horaito Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. Mr Horaito has penned down this hymn, when he was in great distress and from his heavy heart it flows out finding a heavenly peace! This hymn was first published in Gospel Songs No2 by Sankey and Bliss in 1876. This is one of the most influential and enduring in the Bliss repertoire and is often taken as a choral model, appearing in hymnals of a wide variety of Christian fellowships!
Every Christians are guided by Holy Spirit to declare this powerful phrase “ It Is Well With My Soul”! Bible always teaches us that our tongue has incredible power to make or break! When we confess the life out of faith, the Holy Spirit goes to work to manifest the same!
Let us continue to confess as the song says, “whatever my lot , Thou hast taught me to say , it is well, it is well with my soul”! For we live by believing and not by seeing!(2 Cor 5:7)
