Military Dad Gives Daughter A Heartwarming Surprise During Her Graduation

Surprise visit from parents are always special for every kids! For Claudia Lea her graduation ceremony was overloaded with one such surprise when her military dad suddenly appeared in front of her!

Claudia Lea never expected her military dad to attend her graduation ceremony. Her dad serves in Germany with the U.S. Army and she lives in West Virginia. But the Army Maj. Brett Lea was determined to make it to his daughter’s big day! He along with his wife plotted a way to surprise their daughter at her ceremony. The school officials were consulted and their plan was to do an announcement from the podium that the dad had recorded a video for Claudia!

The heartwarming video shows the 5,000 audience members and the graduating class waiting for the video to begin. But to the amazement of all, instead of giving a mere appearance in the video clip, he himself walked onto the Marshall University gymnasium floor! Striding up the aisle where Claudia stood in her cap and gown, the military dad stepped in with his arms open wide.

She was seen sobbed at the sight of her loving dad as he scooped her into his arms!

“people started cheering and clapping ..I thought it was for the video, which still hadn’t started.  “That’s when I looked to my right and saw him” She explained.

After a 72 hour long journey , the military dad feels so special to make it up and  said…”This is probably the most significant event of her life so far… that’s something I would do anything to be at,” the father said

For Claudia it was a real surprise and a happy day to cherish forever. She too is proud for her loving parents and speaks about it!

“He is awesome,” she said. “Both my parents are incredible… I honestly think that they are, like, my best friends, so I love them both.”
