Desperate Mother Puts Unresponsive Baby In Officer’s Arms And He Saves Him

This mother was frantic and helpless to see her child unresponsive with an emergency medical condition. Its really hard to imagine how people will react in such desperate moments. Frantic to save his baby, she spotted a Marion County Officer stopped at a red light at an intercession. She was seen driving her vehicle in the opposite direction when the K9 deputy officer flagged down her car. At that point in time she had no idea except to shove her baby’s limp body into his arms, hoping that he will save the child.

Dash cam footage from the police car shows the K9 Deputy, Jeremie Nix is performing CPR on baby. While the mother was constantly trying over phone for the medical assistance, the officer was trying to save the baby. Realizing the criticality of the situation, the officer didn’t even wait for the ambulance to arrive but he decided to carry him to the hospital at the earliest!

“I’m not waiting on medical. I’m a half a mile from (Ocala Regional Medical Center). I’m headed to their emergency room with the baby,” Nix said.

He drove the child to the nearby hospital with his lights and siren on. The medical professionals began to treat the child immediately and they could assist him with the timely support. Fortunately the 3 month old Kingston has survived the ordeal and will get to tell this story for years to come!

“We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say that he will make a full recovery!! Doctors also said that because of K9 Deputy Nix’s actions, Baby Kingston is alive today,” “We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!!”

The MCSO was happy to post their employee’s timely response in saving a precious life from the road! Yes!  They are there to protect and save the community with much attention and a tender heart! They just need our “Timely Salutes”!

MCSO K9 DEPUTY SAVES BABY'S LIFE
At approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) K9 Deputy Jeremie Nix was on his way home from his shift when he was flagged down by a motorist as he was stopped at a red light at the intersection of SE Lake Weir Avenue and SE 17th Street. The motorist told Deputy Nix that her 3-month old baby boy named Kingston was completely unresponsive and that she needed help. Deputy Nix turned his patrol car around and pulled off the side of the road to assist with the medical emergency. After performing several life-saving measures on the child and not seeing any improvement, Deputy Nix decided to put the child in his own patrol car and rush him to Ocala Regional Medical Center. Deputy Nix delivered the child to medical personnel, who then began treating the child. We are happy to report that Baby Kingston is doing very well and doctors say he will make a full recovery!! Doctors also said that because of K9 Deputy Nix's actions, Baby Kingston is alive today. We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!!

Verse of the Day

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. — Philippians 2:14-16 (NIV)
