Restaurant Staffs Brings Joy To A Sad Mom Eating Alone

A mom who was found sad and eating alone on Mother’s day got a special surprise from the hotel staffs. Barbara Foy had been feeling pretty down in the dumps when the Hallmark holiday rolled around on Sunday, because she had not received a call from her son. So she went to have her lunch alone at the restaurant in Horry County S.C. And when the staff of Ruby Tuesday found out that her day was down in tears, they all have pitched into ensure that the neglected mom would feel special.

As a means of cheering her up, the servers quickly put together an elegant gift basket of goodies for the mom and the restaurant was generous to pay for her lunch too. Not only that a random customer was so moved by the notion they too bought her a rose to ‘fill the love basket’!

“Hearing her story the entire staff was almost in tears, and we wanted to make sure that she knew how special she was on Mother’s day” Restaurant General Manager, Lauren Nave said!

The sweet gesture of love was more than enough to make this Mother’s Day so special and memorable! She was elevated and was happy to have a royal treatment in the great day!

“I really felt like I was queen for a day…mother for a day!” said Foy. “I’ve never been made to feel so special.”

Verse of the Day

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. — Romans 13:9-10 (NIV)
