Strangers Come Together To Help Single Mother Get Her Life Back On Track

Together we can make a difference in the society, and the Christmas is all about witnessing such great love in action! A South Carolina mother, Jessica McCutcheon gave up her children to the department of social service because she was down battling drug abuse and was a victim of domestic violence. Recently by God’s grace Jessica was able to turn her life around and regain custody of her children. However she really had to struggle all alone to get to work and get her kids to school by borrowing cars from others

Meredith Shannon, the foster mother of McCutcheon’s daughters wanted to do something to make a memorable Christmas for this family as she felt a prompting from God to help save this family in loving-kindness! She along with her neighbor and some athletes at North Greenville University collected $600 in gifts, while a stranger came forward donating a car for this gracious mission! Together they brought life and light to this mother and her reactions to this lovely hearts are so touching!

Our AMAZING student athletes and coaches and members from the community stepped up BIG TIME to help a local family! God works through our kids everyday! #NGUCares #WeAreNGU #SeasonofGiving

Verse of the Day

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. — Isaiah 53:3-4 (NIV)
