Teen Breaks Down In Tears When Her Classmates Reveal She’s Cancer-Free

Fighting a tough battle with cancer can be very difficult for you, but with family and friends rallying around you, it can be a wee bit easier.

This verse from the Bible can be so comforting for them. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

Recently on Nov 16, when her friends disclosed to her that she is cancer free, a young girl was taken by surprise and was so relieved. Emily Sadler, is just 15 years old, and studies at Raytown High School in Missouri. She has been in a tough battle with papillary thyroid carcinoma since March 4, 2017, but when she entered the school hallway, she was greeted by a roaring crowd of classmates and loved ones.

Emily says, “I walked out and saw a ton of people,” she adds, “I heard them scream at me, ‘Emily’s cancer free!'” She has been through grueling rounds of radiation and multiple surgeries, which included one to have her thyroid removed.

But, when doctors told Emily’s mother, Amy Sadler, that now Emily was officially cancer-free, she planned to let her know in a unique way.

Amy works as a orchestra teacher at Raytown High School in Missouri where Emily is a sophomore, and so she took the help of her school to reveal to Emily that she was cancer free. So she gathered her husband Joey and sons Chris, 20, and Tim, 18, and Emily’s grandparents, teachers, friends and extended family to surprise Emily, that her doctors have given her a clean bill of health.

So she told the whole class that the orchestra was taking a yearbook photo including Emily and as she was coming around the corner, everybody yelled, ‘Emily is cancer free’ and everybody cried.”

It was the best Thanksgiving that Emily could ever have, as she was eternally happy and relieved to be finally caner-free.
