A band of people join forces to help save suicidal man on Detroit freeway and their loving compassion saved a precious life from committing suicide! The incident happened on Tuesday morning on a free overpass, where a man tried to end up his life by jumping from the tall overpass.
Michigan State Police received a call about a man on a bridge over interstate 696 trying to jump down. A troop of police officers came running to the spot and blocked all lanes of traffic. They then waved through several semi truck drivers and asked them to park under the overpass on the westbound and eastbound sides of the interstate. There were total 13 semi trucks that parked under the overpass to shorten the distance the man would fall if he jumped.
Ultimately, the negotiations spoke with the man for several hours worked and he didn’t jump off the bridge. The officers made sure to take him to the hospital for evacuation! The video shows the man struggling with the decision to take his own life and the rescue team is extending their help to save him.
