74-Year-Old Man Walks Miles Every Day To Find A Kidney Donor For His Wife

“Many men claim to be men of unfailing love, but who can find a faithful man?”(Prov 20:6)

Our world has skewed the meaning of true love but there are still some around to witness the faithful love! A 74-year-old Utah man is walking miles a day on a mission to find his wife a kidney donor who has stage 5 kidney failures and on dialysis for survival..Every day, Wayne Winters puts on a sandwich board advertisement and walks for miles near his Farr West, Utah home.

Wayne found the love, of his life. 26 years ago and he felt helpless watching Deanne suffer. “I didn’t know what to do,” he said. “I felt like I needed to do something.” Winters got the idea of using a sandwich board after seeing a story online about another man who did the same thing and got national attention for his search and he thought, he can do this and hit the streets with this unique idea. Every day in the busy hours he  walk up and down on the road catching the attention and the response from the people and passing hope to his loving wife saying “I think we have a good chance of getting you a kidney,'” .

“After I get a kidney I will have my wife back the way she was, normal, helping people, loving people; she likes to serve other people,”.Finding a match isn’t an easy process but he says even when he gets a donor for his wife he won’t stop trying to get people to donate kidneys. He now says this is his life mission Winters said. Lets pray for her healing and his mission accomplishment !

“..Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”(1 Cor 13:13)
