“You don’t overcome fear without courage”. Ian Manuel, an unfortunate child who ended up with the wrong company and held in robbery shooting. Ian Manuel was just 13 years old when he shot Debbie Baigrie. Although she survived, Ian received a life sentence.
About one year into his sentence, he got an opportunity to call Debbie to apologize and to wish her a Merry Christmas saying “he was sorry for what he did if it wouldn’t be too much, I would like to write to you” Debbie was kind enough to understand the helplessness of this 14 year child and accepted his heart of sorry. Debbie eventually forgave Ian and the two began to build an unlikely friendship.
Many years later, Debbie who the woman he shot in the face, helped Ian free from prison and his words were so touching in the court room as he told to the judge that “me and Debbie had been waiting for the years for the judicial system to catch up to my remorse and her forgiveness” .That night Ian got released from his jail sentence.Now Debbie treats him as her child and she feel the true compassion for other human being having Ian Manuel in her life!
