Albert E. Brumley wrote this hymn back in 1929 while he was picking cotton in Oklahoma.
The whole song is all about the hope we carry as believers in our hearts. This world is not our home. The pain we carry and the burdens we face they are temporary. One glad morning we are going to wake up on the other side of glory and none of this will matter anymore. That is a promise from God Himself.
Lindsay Kirkland’s simple performance has brought those powerful lyrics to life once again. Let us all be prepared for that glorious day.
