The brother and sister singing duo Life in 3D just released a stunning Christian duet of Celine Dion’s classic ‘The Prayer’ vocal cover.
Life in 3 is an incredible sibling vocal group from Tempe Arizona. Their names are Daylon, Daura, and Devon. They didn’t start in a fancy studio. They actually discovered their musical gift just a few years ago while washing dishes and doing laundry at home. They found out their voices had a natural harmony that sounded beautiful together. What started as making music for family quickly grew. Today they have earned over 200 million views online.
For this video they chose to sing an incredible masterpiece. The Prayer was written in 1998 by David Foster Carole Bayer Sager and a few others. We all know it from the legendary duet by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. The message is a beautiful reminder of our faith. It is a simple honest prayer asking God to watch over us. We ask Him to be our eyes and give us wisdom when we don’t know what to do next.
Watching their performance really moved my heart. They just sit across from each other at a small table. The sister starts with the gentle English verses. Then her brother comes in singing the Italian parts perfectly. When they finally combine their voices for the main chorus I actually got the chills.
The most touching part of the performance is hearing them sing these moving words, “Lead us to a place, Guide us with your grace to a place where we’ll be safe.” Those words are a powerful faith statement for us all.
