Texas Bride Dances With Her Terminally Ill Brother On Her Big Day In Emotional Video

It was a touching moment when a Texas bride danced with her terminally ill brother on her big day.

Weddings are a very special time and Cesiah Aviles-Nieto, 21, who tied the knot this past week in Laredo, did not want to miss the chance of dancing with her terminally ill 17-year-old brother, Alex Aviles.

Alex has ataxia telangiectasia (AT), a terminal immunodeficiency disease, and was also diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 3 years, which he has beat. But because of AT, he has limited use of his legs and is now a junior in high school.

Cesiah said, “Me and him are super close. He’s my best friend,” she added, “Since I got engaged, he said, ‘Cesiah, I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I’m gonna dance with you.’” Alex was the best man at her wedding as well and with the help of a therapist they were able to craft the dance for both of them.

The brother-sister duo danced together on Cesiah’s wedding day to plenty of cheers and tears, and Cesiah even lifted up Alex for dance as well.

“We practiced a little bit, incorporating the wheelchair, but when it came to the wedding day, I forgot everything,” Cesiah said. “I blanked out so I was just like, ‘You know what?  I’m gonna carry him.’ So I carried him.”

Alex pushed himself to even stand up on his own during the dance to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts to the shock of the entire room. “I heard everyone screaming and clapping,” she said. “It meant the world. I think I’m going to remember as much as I remember saying ‘I do.’”

We hope and pray for the complete recovery of Alex because we know that with God nothing is impossible.
