The Gardiner Brothers amazed everyone with their stunning dance routine to Chuck Berry’s ‘Johnny B. Goode’ in Nashville.
Michael and Matthew grew up in Denver, Colorado with Irish parents who loved the city but wanted their boys to know their Irish roots.
The family found The Wick School of Irish Dance in Denver, where both brothers trained for six years. Then the family moved back to Ireland.
The brothers won championships around the world and became lead dancers in Riverdance. Their YouTube channel Gardiner Brothers has over 1.4 million followers.
On May 11, the brothers announced on Facebook that they moved to Nashville for their next adventure.
They picked a spot at the corner of Broadway and 1st Street for their ‘Johnny B. Goode’ routine. The Hard Rock Cafe stood behind them and the Cumberland River flowed nearby.
Chuck Berry wrote ‘Johnny B. Goode’ in 1958. People call him the “Father of Rock and Roll” because he created the sound that made rock music special.
Berry was famous for his guitar playing and his “duck walk” across the stage. Michael and Matthew had to match that energy with their dancing.
The brothers delivered an amazing performance. They tapped, kicked, and turned with perfect timing. Their style and personality made the routine special to watch.
