17-year-old Falon O’Regan, was the day’s hero after he used a trampoline from the yard to catch residents as they jumped from their apartment window.

The brave boy said, “Me and Robert, my neighbor downstairs, had to move the trampoline from the side of the house to the three bedrooms on the last part of the house because they would’ve gotten hurt if we didn’t,” O’Regan said.

His mom said she was grateful that the children were safe during the ordeal. Three people were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire and the damage it did is being investigated by the fire marshal. The Red Cross is said to be helping all twelve adults and six kids displaced by the fire, according to the fire chief.
