Jim Gaffigan, one of America’s most beloved comedians, had audiences cracking up with his spot-on take about the everyday struggle of holding the remote control during TV time.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Gaffigan broke down just how stressful this common scenario really is. “Being in control of the remote control is a no-win situation, anyway,” he said. “The person you’re watching with is never satisfied.”
He then walked through the cycle that so many of us know too well. “They’re like, ‘Turn it up! I can’t hear it,'” he said. “Then you turn it up, and the commercial comes on. ‘Turn it down! What’s wrong with your hearing?'”
He wrapped it up with a line that most of us could say ourselves: “I’m always in trouble when we watch television.”
It is funny how we let these tiny things get to us sometimes. We should probably try to be a bit more patient with our family even when the volume is too loud or the channel surfing gets annoying.
Let’s just keep our homes full of the joy God gives us through a good laugh.
