Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote ‘Because He Lives’ back in 1971. They were waiting for their third baby to arrive during some uncertain times in America. They wondered what kind of world they were bringing their child into.
But then God reminded them of one powerful truth, Jesus lives. He conquered death and rose again. Because of that, we don’t have to fear what’s ahead. Paul reminds us of this hope, “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55).
Because He lives, we can face tomorrow. Because He lives, our future is secure. Jon’s performance is a beautiful reminder of that unshakable hope we have in Christ.
