A husband’s viral video clip has left the internet in stitches after he revealed the hilariously backfired prayer that changed his life forever.
Many of us have knelt before God and asked Him to send us the right person. And God, in His faithfulness, always delivers. But marriage brings two different people, two different backgrounds, and two different ways of thinking under one roof. And somewhere along the way, every married couple faces the same unavoidable question: who is right, and who is wrong? This husband knows that feeling all too well, and he has a hilarious theory about exactly why it happens to him.
Years ago, he got down on his hands and knees and prayed a simple prayer. “Dear Lord, please send me somebody that is right. That is right.” No conditions. No details. Just that.
God answered.
The catch? He wasn’t specific enough. The Lord sent him a woman so right that he hasn’t been right once since the day she arrived.
“I’ve never been more wrong,” he said. “Everything I say is wrong. Everything she says is right. Every place she goes is right. Every place I go is wrong. Any thought I have is wrong. Any thought she has is right.”
He covered every category. Where she wants to go is always the right place. Where he wants to go? Wrong. Every time.
His closing advice to men everywhere was simple: “So guys, be careful what you pray for.”
Then his wife quietly stepped in and said she wasn’t sure his description was even fully accurate.
His response? “You’re right.”
God never makes mistakes. Even when our prayers lack detail, He knows exactly what we need before we finish the sentence.
