A big brother and his little sister melted hearts with their sweet Sunday School song medley.
We all remember those Sunday School songs from our childhood. They stick with us through the years and bring back memories of learning about Jesus.
The simple melodies teach us big truths about God’s love and our faith.
The Kuykendall family posted this sweet video on YouTube. The older brother sat at the piano and helped little Emily sing through a medley of 12 beloved Sunday School songs.
The performance included ‘This Little Light of Mine,’ ‘I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy Down in My Heart,’ ‘Give Me Oil in My Lamp,’ ‘I’m in the Lord’s Army,’ ‘I Will Sing of the Mercies of the Lord Forever,’ and ‘Rejoice in the Lord Always.’
The brother guided his sister through each song with patience and love. When they finished, he encouraged her with a compliment, “Good job Emily.”
The performance brought back memories for many viewers. One viewer wrote, “I am 76 years old and I used to sing most of these songs as a child. They are timeless. I love this. Good Job, Emily.”
Another person wrote, “What an absolute treat this was today! I`m 71 and ya`ll took me back to my childhood..singing in the children`s choir from age 2 onward! I sat here singing right along with you..such a blessing! Hope to hear more from you! God bless you always!”
