The Isaacs are a family music group rooted in bluegrass and Southern gospel. In this live performance, three singers from the group step up and pour everything they have into ‘Lord of My Heart.’ They flawlessly hit the high notes and their harmonies give us chills.
The song itself is about giving God full control. Not halfway, not when it’s convenient, but all of it. The broken pieces, the uncertain days, the stuff we try to fix on our own and can’t. That’s the heart of ‘Lord of My Heart.’ It’s basically saying, God, I’m done doing this my way.
And maybe that’s what hits so hard about this performance. We’ve all been there. We’ve all held on too tight to things God was asking us to release.
