God blesses each of us in different ways. When good things happen in our lives, we should remember that everything comes from Him.

Our success, our talents, our opportunities are all gifts from God. The question is what do we do with these blessings? A young boy from Charlotte shows us exactly what God wants us to do.

Quentin started cutting grass when he was eight years old. He worked with his dad since he could walk. “I really, really love it. I really love it,” Quentin said about mowing lawns.

The young boy’s business is called QJ’s Professional Lawn Care. He doubled his customers from last year and bought new equipment.

People recognize him from news stories now. “It feel like I kind of became a local celebrity,” he said.

But this year brought sadness too. Quentin lost both his grandmother and grandfather. His grandfather was the man who first got him interested in lawn care.

The family found comfort at their church during this hard time.

Quentin felt so welcome at church that he started mowing their grass for free. The pastors even asked him to preach to the whole congregation. Then he made his big decision to donate $1,000 from his own money.

Quentin knows who deserves the credit for his success. “It mostly feels like God really just opened a lot of opportunities for me. And He really just showed me that this is what He wants me to do on this Earth. I love it, and I will never stop, never.”

“When you put things into the world, it always finds a way to come back to you,” Quentin said.

Quentin’s biggest dream is getting a contract with Charlotte airport. He often watches the grounds crew there and stands by their mowers for a while.

Quentin reminds us that we all need a giving heart for God’s kingdom. Many ministries and people around us need our support. As believers, we have the responsibility to help them with what we have.

Just like Quentin said, God sees every small thing we do for others. He will bless us with His favor and reward us in His perfect timing.

Verse of the Day

““Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
