We’ve all been there. The pastor is preaching and somewhere around the third point, you start shifting in your seat because it feels like he’s been going through your texts.
A woman posted a short clip on YouTube showing exactly how church members act after a sermon that hits a little too close to home. And honestly it’s one of the funniest most relatable things you’ll see this week.
She opens with something every single person in church has thought at least once.
“Now, who was pastor talking about when he said, ‘Some people need to quit entertaining foolishness?’ Cause he looked right at Randy’s row,” she said.
Then she keeps going and it only gets better.
“The pastor said, ‘What’s done in darkness always comes to light,’ and half the church looked at the same couple,” she added.
So apparently it wasn’t even subtle. The whole congregation turned their heads at the same time. We know that moment. Nobody wants to be that couple.
Then she says the sermon got so specific she started questioning things.
“That sermon was so specific, I started wondering if pastor got access to Ring cameras,” she said.
And in the middle of all this she slips in something about someone unwrapping a peppermint during prayer. If you’ve sat in church more than twice you know exactly how loud that wrapper gets.
She ends the whole thing with total confidence. “I don’t care what nobody says. That sermon was absolutely about Brenda.”
So if you walked out of church last Sunday feeling like the pastor had your number just know you’re not alone. We’re all Brenda sometimes. And maybe that’s exactly what we needed to hear.
