A classroom joke about fall leaves has people laughing online, and the students’ guesses are the real star of the show.

A teacher asked her fifth grade class a simple riddle. What is a fall leaf’s favorite subject in school? She let the kids guess one by one and their answers were something else.
One boy said “math” and had no reason for it at all. Another student tried “physics” and explained that physics is the reason leaves fall. Someone even guessed “nap time” because leaves fall asleep.
The teacher finally gave them the answer. “His-tree.” Get it? History.
The funny thing is these kids actually guessed better than most of us do. If you have ever sat in a Bible trivia night at church you know exactly what I mean.
We start raising our hands before the question is even finished. And before we can get our own guess out someone in the back has already shouted out another answer. Both answers have nothing to do with the question asked. Not one bit. We just laugh about it and move on to the next one.
But it’s not really about getting the answer right. It’s about the time we spend together having some fun.
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine” (Proverbs 17:22, NKJV).
