Elevation Choir delivers a soul-stirring cover of ‘Been So Good.’
Elevation Choir comes out of Elevation Church based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Elevation Worship originally released this song written by Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, and Chandler Moore on their 2023 album Can You Imagine?. Over the years they have won Grammy Awards and touched millions of people all around the world through their music.
What a lot of people do not know is that Been So Good was actually added to that album at the very last minute. The songwriters sent a rough demo over to worship leader Tiffany Hudson late the night right before their live recording session.
She was driving home in her car when she listened to the demo. The lyrics moved her so deeply that she had to pull off to the side of the road because she could not stop crying thinking about how faithful God had been in her life.
The next morning at rehearsal she could hardly get through the lyrics without getting choked up. When the group recorded it that evening the presence of the Holy Spirit was evident in that room.
The song reminds us how our heavenly Father stays close through every single season of life. When we look back over where we have been we see how He met our needs and kept every single promise He ever made. He is not a distant friend who stands far off watching us struggle. He walks right beside us through every hard valley and up every steep mountain.
The Bible tells us in Lamentations 3 that the Lord’s mercies are brand new every single morning and His faithfulness never fails us. Whatever heavy burden you are carrying around today remember you do not have to carry it all by yourself.
Hold onto His peace, and rest in knowing the same God who carried you through yesterday will hold your hand through whatever comes tomorrow.
