When a one-year-old boy named Boone heard the bright sounds of a New Orleans brass band he just couldn’t stand still.
Little Boone was out for a stroll with his mother Stefanie Coleman Anthony in Jackson Square when the joyful noise of a local brass band filled the air. These musicians pour their souls into their instruments every single day.
Jackson Square’s street performers carry the city’s rich musical culture and you can hear New Orleans history in every horn blast.
When Boone heard the music, he started exactly imitating the horn players. He held a blue toy flute in his mouth and grasped it with both hands just like the trumpet player squatting right in front of him. He moved with incredible rhythm like a seasoned performer who learned that instrument for years.
I watch this viral toddler video and I just smile from ear to ear. He is absolutely going to become a great performer one day.
We spend so much time worrying about tomorrow and what might happen next but God tells us to just enjoy the present moment He gave us.
Watching Boone let go and dance is exactly what we need to see today. He didn’t care who was watching he just felt the music and went for it and honestly that is how we should live too.
