A dedicated youth dance ministry from California called SOW KIDS delivers a highly energetic hip hop performance to Kirk Franklin’s classic hit ‘Revolution.’

There is something so special about seeing the next generation boldly express their faith through art and movement. We often wonder what the future holds for our children in a world full of distractions but moments like this remind us that God is actively moving in their hearts. When young people take the stage with such passion, it encourages all of us to celebrate our faith a little louder.
The video features the SOW KIDS which stands for Seeds of Worship. They are a dedicated youth dance ministry based in California. Over the years they have built a strong reputation by training young dancers to use hip hop and urban choreography to spread the gospel. They give kids a safe and faith-filled environment to develop their God-given talents and inspire others online.
For this season 16 performance they chose the song ‘Revolution’ by Kirk Franklin. Released in 1998 this iconic track from his Nu Nation Project is a bold call for spiritual change.
The message of the song is urgent but full of hope. It challenges us to stop complaining about the world and start being the change through the love of Jesus. It reminds us that we cannot let discrimination or hate divide us because we are all united in Christ.
The performance itself is an absolute joy to watch. From the moment the scripture reading ends and the beat drops these kids are completely locked in. They move with such sharp precision and hit every single mark in a complex hip hop routine.
Their synchronization is amazing for such a young group and the way they keep up with the fast-paced track is really impressive. They do not hold anything back and their confidence is so fun to witness. Their beautiful smiles make this an act of joyful worship to God rather than a performance.
We get so comfortable in our routines that we forget we are called to be a revolution. We sit back and watch the world get darker and we just shake our heads when we should be standing up and shining the light of Jesus Christ.
God is looking for a generation that is not afraid to step out and praise Him out loud. He is raising up young people who have a fire in their bones and who will not be silenced by a culture that tells them to blend in.
We have to realize that true revival does not always look the way we expect it to. Sometimes it looks like a group of kids dancing their hearts out in a courtyard and reminding us what it means to be totally unashamed of the gospel.
God is always moving and He is always looking for vessels willing to carry His joy into a broken world. We need to wake up and let that same revolutionary joy take hold of our own hearts today.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12 (NKJV)
