Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes had the whole internet laughing after she shared her husband’s hilarious response to a tornado warning.

You know how it is. Some people hear a fire alarm and they’re out the door in two seconds flat. Other people just look up from their phone and go “huh.”
Every household has that one person who panics and that one person who acts like nothing in this world could ever touch them. It’s honestly one of the funniest things about being married or living with somebody because you really don’t know how someone handles a crisis until you’re in one together.
Anjelah shared the story in a clip on YouTube and it’s gold. She said she got an alert on her phone in the middle of the night telling her to take cover in a basement.
Now she’s from California so tornadoes are not her thing at all. “Woo! My heart started beating so fast,” she said. “I said, ‘…do we even have a basement? I don’t even know.’ Cuz I’m from California. We don’t do basements in California. That’s dangerous cuz there could be an earthquake.”
She woke up her husband right away thinking he’d jump into action. Nope. Not even close. “Now, my husband is an army brat,” she explained. “He grew up everywhere. He spent a lot of time in Kansas and he was like, ‘Oh, we used to get these all the time. Don’t even worry about it. Just go back to sleep.'”
And Anjelah was like are you serious right now. “To sleep? But they just woke me up. I don’t think that’s what they want.” Then her husband asked what county it was in and said “Oh, yeah. That’s like 5 miles away. We’re good. We could watch it from the front.” Watch it from the front. This man wanted to grab a front row seat to a tornado.
We love moments like these because they remind us that God gives us people who balance us out. When we’re panicking he puts someone calm right next to us. And sometimes that calm person is so calm it’s actually hilarious.
