Ben grew up on his family’s dairy farm in Southern Vermont. His father taught him about hard work and passion through their daily farm life.
Ben started singing when he was young to pass time while working in the fields. But Ben carried a heavy secret that nobody knew about. He had been struggling with drugs and alcohol for over 12 years.
The year 2015 changed everything for Ben. He was stuck in a relationship that revolved around drugs. Then his best friend died from a drug overdose.
These two terrible events completely shifted how Ben saw his life. He knew he needed to make a change.
Ben’s song ‘He Found Me’ carries a beautiful message about God’s love. The song tells us that we don’t find God on our own strength. Instead, God comes looking for us when we are at our lowest point.
Ben sings about how he tried to find peace in a bottle and in drugs, but nothing worked. He got so close to overdosing that he almost died. But God found him right where he was, broken and hopeless.
In 2018, Ben moved to Nashville with a desire to start over. There he found a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship changed his heart and gave him a burning passion to share God’s love with others.
Ben wanted to tell the world about his redemption story. Ben is now completely sober and travels across the country sharing his testimony through music.
Ben’s story shows us that no matter how far we fall, God’s love can reach us. His grace finds us in our darkest moments and brings us hope.
