A toddler named Leo saw his neighbor’s dog running loose and brought the pup back home. The sweet boy did what many adults might not even notice needed doing.
You know how children see things we adults sometimes miss. We get busy with our own lives and forget to look around at who might need help.
But God put something special in children that makes them want to help without thinking twice about it. We can learn so much from their simple acts of love.
Leo spotted the neighbor’s dog wandering around after it got loose. The little boy took charge right away. He got the dog to follow him and led it back to the right house.
You can see in the YouTube video how carefully he walked the pup up to the porch where it belonged.
The thoughtful toddler opened the front door and let the dog go back inside its home. His neighbor heard what was happening and called out to thank him. You could hear the relief in her voice.
“Thank you, Leo!” the woman said from inside the house.
“Welcome,” Leo answered back before he walked away from the porch.
This whole thing probably took just a few minutes, but it meant everything to that worried dog owner.
Leo did not make a big deal about helping. He just saw something that needed fixing and fixed it.
We need more neighbors like little Leo. When we see someone who needs help, we can follow Leo’s example and just step up to do what needs doing.
