A sweet cat named Zlatco refuses to touch his food until he hears the piano play every single morning.
It is amazing to see how God gave animals the ability to enjoy the music. We have all seen videos of pets tilting their heads at a song, but Zlatco is different because music is a total must for him.
Zlatco was just a tiny kitten when he started sprinting into the room the moment a key was pressed. Now, it is a ritual. He leads the family to the piano before breakfast even starts. He loves it all.
Whether they play a ‘Jazz’ song or something by ‘Bach’, he just wants to hear the truth in the notes. Sometimes he lays on the piano lid to feel the wood vibrate. Other times he sits on a chair and puts a paw on a knee. “Go on, I’m listening,” he seems to say.
He is a tough critic, too. If someone plays a wrong note on purpose, Zlatco just leaves. He knows when someone isn’t being sincere. He even walks across the keys to add his own notes sometimes.
Visitors find it strange that he sleeps best when the music is loudest. The family just smiles because they know Zlatco feels safe when he’s near the piano.
