Two Arizona police officers finished delivering a pizza order after they arrested the Grubhub driver during a traffic stop on July 4th weekend.
We all know what it feels like to wait for food delivery, especially when we’re hungry. Most of us have been there, checking our phones and wondering where our order is.
But we may never expect police officers showing up at our door with our pizza. That’s exactly what happened to a woman in Arizona when she saw some police officers at her door with her order.
The Tempe Police Department officers stopped a delivery driver who was bringing Little Caesars Pizza through Grubhub. They arrested him for reckless driving and racing.
Instead of leaving the customer without her meal, the officers did something special. They checked the driver’s phone to find the delivery address and decided to finish the job themselves.
The bodycam footage shows what happened next. When the customer opened her door, she found two police officers standing there with her pizza order. You can imagine her surprise.
“Your Grubhub guy got arrested, so we still delivered your pizza,” one officer told her.
The woman was clearly shocked but grateful. “I really appreciate the pizza,” she said.
The second officer made sure to mention, “It still should be warm.”
The police department shared the moment on social media. They wrote, “The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady. We’re committed to serving our community 24/7—whether it’s safety or pizza delivery!”
