Even as most of us are on leave for Christmas and New Year, there are many staff that have to work during this time sacrificing the holidays, and one of them is flight attendant Pierce Vaughan who has to work through Christmas Eve and Christmas.
But not to be outdone, her dad Hal was not going to spend the holidays without his daughter, so he booked seats on all six of her flights so that he could be with her.
Hal’s sweet Yuletide gesture was praised and shared on social media by fellow passenger Mike Levy when he snapped a photo with him on a flight from Fort Myers to Detroit.
Levy wrote on Facebook saying, “I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas,” He wrote, “Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”
The post has gone viral and been shared thousands of times and was republished by Pierce, who was excited to see her and her father’s story on social media.

She wrote “Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success!” and thanked all the gate agents around the country and her crew and wrote that he even got first class RSW-DTW. Delta Airlines, the company Pierce works for also thanked her for her hard work.
