A young Chicago teenager is taking the internet by storm with his stunning baritone voice that sounds far older than his age.
When we look at the world around us, we see how amazingly God gives each person a specific craft to handle. We are all just stewards of the gifts He hands out.
It is our job to recognize that talent and give the credit back to Him.
When we see a young person using their gifts, it reminds us that He is still working in the lives of the next generation.
Kai Rutledge is only thirteen but he has already gone viral with his incredible performance of the Italian opera song ‘Parlami d’amore Mariù.’
Kai’s mom Jennifer remembers him at only five years old with a guitar that looked way too big for him. He was already making up his own songs back then.
By the time he was nine, he was part of Uniting Voices Chicago. Now the president of that group Josephine Lee says he is a “special, gifted singer who has the power to transcend boundaries.”
What is really special is that Kai is not just about singing. He is also a calligrapher who loves to write in beautiful cursive. Even with all the new attention, he stays humble and thankful.
“I’m just thankful that a lot of people get to hear my voice and be inspired by it,” Kai said.
