The video of a dog saving a fawn’s life in the Long Island Sound touched many hearts. When the baby deer was about to drown, the heroic golden retriever plunged into the water, bravely swam out to the struggling fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and brought it to shore.
The dog’s owner, Mark Freeley, called the Strong Island Animal Rescue League to give the fawn additional care. The baby deer was taken to the facility to recover, and the dog, Storm, became an internet sensation.
