Former American Idol Contestant Worships God with Beautiful Cover of ‘Goodness of God’

Genavieve Linkowski, a former American Idol contestant, sings a beautiful cover of ‘Goodness of God.’

Genavieve Linkowski Goodness of God

‘Goodness of God’ was released by Bethel Music in 2018. The lyrics were written by Jenn Johnson, Jason Ingram, Ben Fielding, Ed Cash, and Brian Johnson. It speaks of the incredible love and faithfulness of God in our lives.

I love You, Lord
Oh, your mercy never failed me
All my days, I’ve been held in your hands
From the moment that i wake up
Until i lay my head

Oh, i will sing of the goodness of God
And all my life you have been faithful
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that i am able
Oh, i will sing of the goodness of God

Linkowski, who participated in Seasons 16 and 18 of American Idol, has always upheld her Christian faith. She says, “I love Jesus. I sing songs. My Life Goal: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”

Her journey on American Idol was challenging, especially during her second appearance, which came after the tragic death of her sister Corrin in a car accident in 2019. This loss deeply affected her, but she continued to express her faith through music.

Genavieve’s performance of ‘Goodness of God’ invites us to recognize and remember God’s goodness in every circumstance.

Verse of the Day

“[Glory in the Highest] Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
