Genavieve Linkowski sings a powerful cover of ‘I Know A Name’ by Elevation Worship and Brandon Lake.

Most people who followed American Idol remember Genavieve from Season 16 and Season 18. But when she came back in 2020, she was going through the toughest time of her life.
Her sister, Corinn, had died in a car accident in 2019, and Genavieve had gone quiet for a long time after that. She said her passion for music had just vanished.
What brought her back was not a record deal or a career move. It was her faith. She returned to music to honor Corinn and to give glory to God.
Now she runs her YouTube channel and social media pages under Singer4Jesus. Every video she puts out is pointed straight at the Gospel.
Her cover of ‘I Know A Name’ fits that mission perfectly. The song, written and performed by Elevation Worship and Brandon Lake, is a flat-out declaration that the name of Jesus carries real power.
Genavieve sings about a name that can “silence roaring waves” and “empty out a grave,” and you believe every word coming out of her mouth because she has actually lived through something that required that kind of faith.
We all need that reminder sometimes. Jesus is the only name we need.
