It was a tough life for Vanessa Howard, a victim of domestic violence and a mother-of-three children. She made a tough decision to leave her abusive home, and stayed at the hair salon she used to work at.
Today she has her own salon, and is paying it back by giving free makeovers to women — from cancer survivors to women and girls in transitional housing, and domestic violence survivors.
