A powerful worship took place inside the walls of a prison facility where inmates experienced the true freedom in Christ. The well-known ministry God Behind Bars brought a live worship band into the facility to share the gospel through music.

The video shows a group of women inmates singing and worshipping God right inside the prison along with the worship team. It is an incredible reminder that no wall is too thick for the grace of God to break through and change a life completely.
Lizzie Morgan Leads ‘Holy Forever’ in Prison Worship
The atmosphere in that room was completely electric because you could see the exact moment the Holy Spirit walked through the doors. The ministry invited the talented worship artist Lizzie Morgan to lead the service and she sang the powerful modern anthem ‘Holy Forever’ which was originally written by legendary Christian artists like Chris Tomlin and Phil Wickham.
What is the Spiritual Meaning of the Song Holy Forever?
The main message of this song is all about the total supremacy of Jesus Christ over every single thing we face in this life. The lyrics remind us that a thousand generations have fallen down to worship the King of Kings and we get to join that same eternal song today.
When Lizzie Morgan sings out the chorus she declares that the name of Jesus is the highest and it stands completely above all earthly thrones or human authorities. So if you are sitting inside a prison cell or just trapped in a hard place in your life, hearing that truth gives strength and hope.
Lizzie Morgan has an incredible voice but the real beauty of this session was how these inmates used that opportunity to surrender their hearts to God.
Throughout the video you can see these women joining in the worship with everything they have left inside them. They raised their hands high and sang out “Holy holy holy” with tears streaming down their faces. You can see the heavy burdens just falling off their shoulders as they close their eyes and sing along with the song.
These women have been overlooked by the world, told there is no more life for them, but in that moment they stood as daughters of the King and heirs of eternity.
Does God Look at Your Past Mistakes?
We see a lot of people today who are struggling with their past mistakes, thinking they have gone too far for His grace and that they are not enough to come into His presence. But God does not look at your past. He looks at exactly how you are right now.
You might feel rejected by your family or friends, like the builders rejected the cornerstone in the Bible. But God can take that exact same stone and use it to build something completely new. He can rebuild your life on a foundation no storm can ever shake.
All you have to do is stop looking back, surrender your heart completely to the Lord, and spend time with Him through Bible reading, prayer and fellowship. He will speak to you, He will lead you, because you are so precious in the eyes of the Lord.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
