This song tells us where to find hope, no matter what we’re going through. If we place our hope in temporary things or people, we can lose it when those things or people change or disappear. But the Lord never changes or disappears– He’s always with us– solid, sure, and unchanging in His love, power, and truth! Jer. 29:11-13
While I wrote this originally in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown in early May, the need for hope in Him applies to all of life– whether in times of illness, social unrest, or any trouble where hope may appear dim– look up, and find our Hope in Him!

Where there is hope there is life, there is joy in all our living,
There is freedom from despair, and a heart full of thanksgiving;
Thank You, Lord for this hope, everlasting and assuring,
Bringing peace in every trial, and strength to keep enduring.
