A Christian trio performs a hopeful song ‘I’m Ready to Go Home’ in the scenic backdrop of Alaska.

Amos Raber joined Dan and Amanda to perform a moving rendition of the gospel song ‘I’m Ready to Go Home’. This classic hymn was famously recorded by the Louvin Brothers back in 1959.
The message of the song focuses on a faithful servant looking back at a life lived for Jesus while the “evening sun is setting” on their time here.
The group sang together in a beautiful outdoor setting in Alaska. The lyrics describe a person who has been faithful in the service God gave them and has finished their work in the harvest fields.
Even though they “hate to leave so many friends behind,” they have a deep hope for the future. The song says they will wait for their loved ones “inside the gates of glory” where the children of God never have to say goodbye again.
The song ends with the confident words of a believer who faithfully finished their work on earth and is eagerly waiting to be with the Lord, “Lord I’m waiting I’m ready to go home.”
It serves as a reminder that our true citizenship is in heaven and our work here has a divine purpose.
