Students from Indiana Bible College bring ‘John 1’ to life with a powerful choral arrangement.
When we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts and helps us understand the depth of its verses. When this choir from Indiana Bible College opened their mouths and began singing the first verse of John 1, that is exactly what happened. You could feel the power behind every word they sang.
They started with John 1:1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” As soon as they began, I felt the weight of that verse come through their voices. I never felt like they were singing, they were declaring those powerful truths through their incredible harmonies.
About halfway through the arrangement they moved to John 1:14. “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory).”
The song moved from the eternal nature of God straight into the most personal part of the gospel. God came down. He lived among us. And these young voices made sure you felt every word of that.
I could not just sit and listen. I found myself worshipping right along with them. May God use these young people more and more for His kingdom work and to lead others to Christ.
