Inmate Leads Powerful Worship with ‘How Great Is Our God’ Inside Prison

A powerful video shows an inmate singing Chris Tomlin’s ‘How Great Is Our God’ and leading fellow prisoners in worship inside prison.

inmate singing how great is our god

In the video posted by God Behind Bars, inmates raise their hands and sing along as the music team plays ‘How Great Is Our God.’

The song, written by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, and Ed Cash in 2004, celebrates God’s greatness and power.

Then an inmate steps onto the stage and joins the team. His strong, heartfelt voice fills the room as he leads the other inmates in worship.

We can hear the other inmates singing along with him and worshipping God.

What a touching moment. No one is beyond God’s grace. We may fall short, but His mercy is always there to lift us up.

All we need to do is trust Him and surrender to His plan.

Verse of the Day

“[God the Sovereign Savior] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 18:1-2
