Popular YouTuber Karina Javier performs a Kalimba cover of Hillsong United’s ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).’

The Kalimba is an African thumb piano. It is a percussion instrument made up of thin metal blades (called keys) attached to a wooden or wooden-like soundbox.

When the keys are pressed or plucked with the thumbs, they produce different musical notes. The soundbox amplifies the sound. The player holds the soundbox with both hands while using their thumbs to strike the keys.

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Karina does a fabulous job of playing this iconic Hillsong United song, which has been sung all over the world and continues to draw people into worshiping God.

Verse of the Day

“And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ””

Matthew 2:4-6
