A young girl left judges in tears with the song she wrote for a 13-year-old girl she never met.

For many people, social media has become a place to say whatever they want without thinking about the feelings of others. Hateful comments and online bullying have become common on the internet.
The shocking reality is that these cruel acts often push people into depression and even suicidal thoughts. Those who bully often walk away and move on to the next person, while the real suffering falls on the victims and their families.
We all know American Idol as a show about singing, but this audition was entirely different. It told the heartbreaking story of a mother who lost her child to online bullying, and how a young girl gave comfort to that grieving mom through her original song about her daughter.
During the audition, 15-year-old Khloe Grace performed an original song titled ‘Forever 13’. The performance was introduced by Heather Wyatt, who shared the painful story of her daughter, Aubreigh Wyatt.
Aubreigh was only 13 when she took her own life in 2023 after suffering through years of social media pressures and bullying. Although Khloe had never met Aubreigh, she felt a spiritual nudge to write the song to help others.
This was the first time Khloe and Heather met in person, and they shared a tearful hug before the music began.
Khloe’s lyrics were raw and reached into the soul of the room. She sang about how Aubreigh is now “dancing up in heaven with no tears, no worry, no weight on her shoulders today.”
The song also offered grace to the grieving mother by acknowledging that “it ain’t her fault.” The judges were visibly moved by the performance.
Lionel Richie told Heather, “That’s God looking back at you.”
Carrie Underwood, who has been an inspiration to Khloe since she was a small child, was moved to tears by the young girl’s maturity and empathy.
Luke Bryan praised her songwriting and her potential to do good in this world. All three judges gave her a resounding “yes,” sending her to Hollywood with a golden ticket.
Let us be people who choose words that give life instead of words that cause harm. When the hateful words of bullies took this mom’s daughter’s precious life, Khloe chose to use her words to bring comfort and hope.
Please join us in praying for Heather Wyatt and for every child who is facing bullying. Let our words, both online and in person, become a beacon of hope and encouragement to others.
