Man Plays ‘November Rain’ to Lions, What Happens Next Is Unbelievable

A French musician sat down with his guitar just feet away from a group of lions and what happened next was something nobody expected.

So Plumes, real name Lorris Assadian, is not your typical singer-songwriter. This man travels the world with a flamingo-pink guitar visiting animal sanctuaries and parks to play acoustic music for animals. Yes you read that right. Animals. And honestly when you watch his videos you start to understand why he does it.

In this particular clip, he set up right outside a lion enclosure and started playing a cover of Guns N’ Roses’ ‘November Rain.’ A big male lion noticed the music and slowly walked right up to the fence. Then two white lionesses followed him over.

Now we all know lions. These are powerful dangerous animals that could take you down without even trying. So you would expect roaring or pacing or just complete disinterest. But what happened was the complete opposite of what anyone would expect.

All three of them sat down calmly and stayed there through the entire performance like they were front row at a concert just enjoying every note.

And then right at the end the male lion let out this huge yawn directly in front of Plumes. It was so pure. Like he was saying “that was nice man but I’m sleepy now.” We could not help but smile watching it. The whole thing just felt peaceful in a way that’s hard to explain.

It’s just incredible how God made every single creature so distinctly with their own behaviors and interests. And we have seen many of them respond positively to music.

We always think of music as something that connects people across different languages and cultures but honestly it goes way beyond that. It reaches animals too. And this video is a proof of that.
