A young boy’s heartfelt performance of the hymn ‘Jesus Loves Me’ is warming hearts around the world.
Sometimes, the smallest voices speak the loudest truths. In the middle of busy routines and distractions, it is easy to forget how deeply God loves us.
But when a child sings a simple truth with sincerity, it has a way of quieting the noise around us and drawing our attention back to Jesus.
Four-year-old Nicholas Protsenko from Kyiv, Ukraine, stood at a piano and sang ‘Jesus Loves Me’ with his whole heart. His gentle voice and tender expression brought joy to those around him.
The video shows him first playing the piano and then singing the beloved hymn. His sister, violinist Karolina Protsenko, was close by, smiling with pride and support as he performed.
The hymn ‘Jesus Loves Me’ was written by Anna Bartlett Warner in 1860 and set to music by William Batchelder Bradbury in 1862. Its message is rooted in a clear truth: the Bible tells us that Jesus loves us, and that when we are weak, He is strong.
Nicholas sang these words with conviction: “Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so.”
This moment reminds us to take time to reflect on God’s love. No matter how busy or burdened we feel, His Word is always near to bring comfort and strength.
If a child can declare God’s love with such joy, then we, too, can hold on to that truth with confidence. When we forget, may songs like this bring us back to what the Bible tells us: Jesus loves us, and He is strong.
