A heartwarming gesture by a police officer in suburban Chicago melted hearts all over the country.

Officer Brian Zagorski of the Niles Police Department took off his shoes and gave them to a homeless man who had fallen down due to poor footwear.

The Niles Police Department posted on their Facebook page that Officer Zagorski gave up his shoes and also offered the homeless man a Bag of H.O.P.E. filled with toiletries and clothing, but he declined it.

Officer Michael Dati took the photo without them noticing.

Our police officers really go above and beyond their call of duty to perform such amazing acts of kindness. God bless them.

Verse of the Day

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!””

Luke 2:11-14
